Joe Orlando has been in ministry as a layman in the Catholic Church for thirty years. Originally from the east coast, he served for one year as a Jesuit Volunteer in California’s Central Valley, and then helped to launch the Jesuit Volunteers International in Washington, DC. After receiving a Master of Divinity degree at Weston Jesuit School of Theology, he began working at Seattle University where he is now the Director of the Office of Jesuit Mission & Identity, and also serves as Assistant Vice President for the Mission & Ministry Division. A Spanish speaker, Joe holds a masters degree in social work from the University of Washington and a doctorate in educational leadership from Seattle University.
